How it works

Set it up once. Collect for good.

Four steps for the admin, four for each member. After that, the dues simply arrive in your group's account.

For the admin

From sign-up to collecting in an afternoon.

  1. 1

    Create your organization

Sign up with your phone number and name your group. You become its admin, on the Free plan until you choose otherwise.

  2. 2

    Connect your payout account

Pick your bank or mobile-money provider and enter the account number. Paystack resolves the account name; you confirm it, and your group's subaccount is created.

Members can't pay until this is connected — money never arrives with nowhere to go.

  3. 3

    Set the amount and schedule

Choose how much each period costs and how often it is due, decide whether members or the group cover the transaction charges, add the payment details members should see, and write your contribution policy.

  4. 4

    Upload your roster

Import an Excel or CSV file of names and phone numbers, or add members one by one. The roster decides who can register.

For each member

From the roster to receipted.

  1. 1

    Register with your phone

Enter the number your admin put on the roster. An SMS code confirms it's you, then you set a password.

  2. 2

    Accept the policy

Read your group's contribution policy and accept it. If the admin publishes a new version, you'll be asked again.

  3. 3

    Choose what to pay

Select one or several unpaid periods, or enter a voluntary amount. You see the contribution, the service charge and the total before continuing.

  4. 4

    Pay by MoMo or card

Paystack checkout opens for the exact amount. When it succeeds your dashboard updates and the periods are marked paid.

Settlement is idempotent on the Paystack reference — a payment can never be counted twice.

What everyone pays

Every charge, before anyone pays.

Pick a plan, an amount and who covers the charges. By default they're added on top, so a GH₵50 contribution lands as GH₵50 — to the pesewa. Bigger plans pay a lower platform fee, and voluntary contributions carry none.

Exact to the pesewa. The group set GH₵150.00 and receives GH₵150.00.

Shown before paying. Members see the charge as its own line — or the group can choose to cover it instead.

Never pooled. Money moves from Paystack to the group — there is nothing for anyone to withdraw.

SMS only when it matters

Codes for registration and password resets — counted against your plan's credits.

Confirmed twice

A signed webhook and a client-side verify both settle the payment; whichever lands first wins.

Paystack's schedule

Your share settles to your account on Paystack's normal settlement cycle.

Set it up once. Collect for good.

Create your organization, connect your payout account, and invite your members — the Free plan runs one group of up to 30 members, forever.
